Role Overview

The Jefferson County Attorney's Office is seeking a Paralegal Supervisor to oversee, manage, and participate in providing administrative and paraprofessional support to attorneys in preparation for legal proceedings such as litigation and prosecution. This role involves supervising all paralegals and other administrative staff, managing administrative functions, and working almost exclusively in an office setting.

What You Will Do

Coordinate with attorneys, opposing parties, witnesses, and city departments to support case development and facilitate trial proceedings. Oversee trial preparation by drafting pleadings, preparing depositions, assembling trial notebooks, and managing exhibits. Supervise staff by assigning work, monitoring performance, providing feedback and training, and addressing personnel issues. Manage all aspects of discovery, including reviewing requests, drafting responses, and coordinating evidence review.
