Role OverviewProvides assistance and support to a Teacher in planning and implementing classroom instruction to meet the educational needs of a student with specific needs. Encourages and supports the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience.
What You Will Do
Assists the Teacher in planning curriculum, assessing student abilities, developing and implementing lesson plans, and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning. Observes and tracks student behavior, gathers data, and creates illustrations to identify and monitor student proficiency.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of direct support experience, preferably in an educational or classroom-based setting. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
