Role OverviewThe paraprofessional/case manager is responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with special needs or disabilities, ensuring their academic and social success. They work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide necessary accommodations.
What You Will Do
Implement and monitor IEPs and BIPs, provide one-on-one support to students, collaborate with teachers and other professionals, document student progress, and communicate with parents/guardians.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and other relevant student support plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Ability to adapt and modify instructional materials and strategies based on individual student needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Understanding of assistive technology and its applications for students with special needs.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of special education.
- Strong technology with industry specific software and programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Samegoal, Adobe Acrobat Reader)
