Role OverviewThe City of Topeka's Parking Division is seeking a dedicated individual to join its team as a Parking Control Officer I. This position performs parking enforcement duties in the Topeka central business. The role works Monday through Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) and is a year-round, full-time position that works in all weather conditions.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include walking or driving a provided city vehicle through assigned enforcement routes in the downtown central business district and assisting with the enforcement, installation and removal of Vehicle Immobilization Devices. Specific tasks include collecting parking tickets from payment boxes, collecting coins from parking meters, issuing parking tickets, and answering questions from the public.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and city insurable driving record
- One (1) year of public relations / customer service experience is required
