Role OverviewThe Parole Board is an agency within the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security with decisional authority in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for matters of parole granting, supervision, rescission, revocation, discharges, and early termination of parole. The Parole Board's mission is to promote public safety by the return of inmates to the community through supervised, conditional release.
What You Will Do
Represent the agency's position and statutory obligations in legal matters, obtain information on cases for hearings, advise agency staff on legal matters, draft administrative and legal documents, and provide information to the public on agency functions, rules, and regulations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, admission to the Massachusetts Bar, and at least three years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional experience in the practice of law.
