Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a dedicated security-minded professional to assume the responsibilities of a Parole Services Supervisor in the Dayton Region, Montgomery County. The Parole Services Supervisor will directly supervise a unit consisting of senior officers, parole officers, and clerical staff. The role involves determining work priorities, giving work assignments, and reviewing written reports for content and accuracy. The Parole Services Supervisor will also conduct investigations, present at pre-disciplinary hearings, and ensure community safety.
What You Will Do
The Parole Services Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including directly supervising a unit, determining work priorities, giving work assignments, reviewing written reports, conducting investigations, and presenting at pre-disciplinary hearings. The role also involves ensuring community safety, interpreting and disseminating policies, and interviewing applicants.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 6 years of training or experience in community corrections, including report writing, offender treatment referrals, and offender service delivery. The candidate should also have 6 months of training or experience providing work direction and/or training. A valid Ohio driver's license is required.
