Role OverviewThe Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for providing academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers.
What You Will Do
Generates tutoring plans, develops and assists students with academic exercises, compiles and prepares materials, reinforces knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher, and provides instructional support.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid, and have a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test or one year of experience working with children in an educational setting.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
