Part-time Cashier

As a cashier at WinCo Foods, you'll be instrumental in making a real impact in the communities we serve, embodying our purpose every day. You'll work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including night, weekends, and holidays, providing friendly and cooperative service to internal and external customers.

What You Will Do

Your typical duties and responsibilities will include processing customer orders, operating check stand equipment, engaging in suggestive selling, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. You'll also be responsible for processing monetary transactions, understanding and adhering to all Cash Handling and Lane Accountability policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation
• Friendly, courteous, and tactful relations with customers and co-workers
• Ability to communicate (hearing and speech) to perform customer relation tasks
• Ability to complete written forms
• Ability to conduct visual inspection, read information on merchandise, etc.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to operate check stand equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and scales
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to learn and memorize a considerable amount of information
• Ability to ensure accuracy in scanning and verifying sales and handling monetary transactions
• Ability to navigate and manage potentially high stress situations
