Role OverviewAssists center and classroom teachers with meal preparation and distribution of all meals for the assigned center. Aids in the care and development of children enrolled in an early childhood center and maintenance of the classroom and the center. Responsible for the upkeep of the kitchen.
What You Will Do
Assists in meal preparation and distribution, inspects food deliveries, follows strict handling procedures, and maintains kitchen and classroom cleanliness. Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with center staff, children, and families.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires high school diploma or GED, experience in a routine food service environment, and food handler certification. Desirable to have DCF Child Care 45 hour training certifications and a Certificate of good health and completed TB test.

- Experience working around small children or in a child care facility
