Role OverviewThe Digital Dental Laboratory Technician will work with dental faculty, residents, and students to create customized digital milled prostheses. Responsibilities include CAD/CAM design and scanning, preparation of casts, and administrative support for the lab.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities include designing and milling prostheses, advising faculty, and supervising students. The technician will also work with dental students to demonstrate CAD/CAM techniques and coordinate lab processing.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a field with heavy CAD/CAM applications and at least 6 months of experience. Dental knowledge is preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a field with heavy CAD/CAM applications
- At least 6 months of directly related (CAD/CAM) experience
- Ability to work with various CAD/CAM technologies and other lab equipment
- Good hand-eye coordination with the ability to work with small instruments
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and make independent decisions for non-complex issues
