Role OverviewAs a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and security throughout the journey. Key responsibilities include transporting new admissions from hospitals to Elderwood facilities or other care centers, safely driving medically stable residents to medical appointments and treatment locations, and assisting with loading and unloading residents.
What You Will Do
Transport residents to and from medical facilities, assist with loading and unloading residents, and drive in all conditions including snow, ice, rain, and nighttime hours in a safe manner.

Requirements
- Ability to use hands and arms in repeated motions
- Ability to perform pre and post trip inspection duties
- Ability to drive and work in all conditions
- Ability to carry and load baggage and medical equipment
- Ability to physically load wheelchair clients and properly operate safety equipment
- Ability to operate a full size cargo van and small shuttle bus
- Ability to assist wheelchair bound and transit disabled passengers in and out of vans
- Possession and maintenance of a medical certification card as required by DOT regulations
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
