Role OverviewThe Part-Time Host/Hostess will greet customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, manage seating charts, and respond to guest inquiries. The role may require additional duties as necessary and assigned by the manager.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming guests, seating guests, managing reservations, and assisting fellow associates with work.

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to describe menu items, prices, and methods of preparation. They will also be able to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage guests to choose house specialties.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.
- Inform supervisor of any problems or complaints.
- Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment.
