Role Overview

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and experienced New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our outpatient medical clinic in Jamaica, Queens. The Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic massage and bodywork services to patients seeking relief from muscle tension, chronic pain, stress, limited mobility, and other appropriate musculoskeletal concerns.

What You Will Do

Perform professional therapeutic massage treatments based on patient needs and clinical appropriateness. Conduct a brief intake and identify the patient's primary concerns, treatment goals, areas of discomfort, and relevant contraindications. Provide individualized massage techniques, which may include Swedish massage, Wood massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Deep-tissue massage, Therapeutic massage, Myofascial techniques, Trigger-point therapy, Sports/recovery massage, Stretching and mobility techniques, and other modalities within the therapist's training and New York State scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Current New York State Massage Therapy License (LMT) in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
  • Current CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications to massage therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to document treatments accurately.
