Role OverviewAs a Part-Time Outdoor Adventure Guide at Miraval Austin Resort and Spa, you will be surrounded by natural beauty, supported by colleagues who value empathy and respect, and encouraged to grow personally and professionally. You will lead guest-facing programs for leisure guests and social and corporate groups, delivering a quality experience for all.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include leading outdoor adventure programs, facilitating high and low ropes elements, and providing a quality experience for guests. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing tasks in all types of weather conditions, and making decisions in the best interest of guests.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in facilitation and/or guiding outdoor adventure programs
- 1 – 2+ years guiding experience hiking
- First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date
- ACCT Facilitator Level I or II or willingness to complete provided training
- Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder Preferred or willingness to complete provided training
- Lifeguard certification preferred or willingness to complete provided lifeguard training and pass lifeguard test required for role
- Trained or willing to be trained at facilitating stand up paddleboard and kayaking
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
