Job Description
Join our hotel team as we launch a new destination restaurant concept within Thompson Houston Hotel. Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings.

Requirements

  • Uphold company policies, including safety, sanitation, attendance, and dress code guidelines.
  • Ensure perishable items are properly labeled, rotated, and discarded to maintain quality control.
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service to guests, anticipating their needs and responding to questions.
  • Greet guests warmly, assist with seating, and provide menus, water, and drinks.
  • Communicate specials, explain menu items and dietary considerations, and take accurate orders.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining proper presentation and timing.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, addressing requests, refilling drinks, and clearing plates.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service, including assisting during busy periods.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, presenting bills to guests.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including side work and station setup.
  • Participate in training sessions, department meetings, and pre-shift meetings.
