Role OverviewThe Shelter Coordinator provides rotating 30 minutes of break time coverage to the Shelter program staff in the Denver Metro Area Shelters. This is a rotating position where the Shelter Coordinator will travel to assigned sites to relieve staff for their 30-minute break. The Shelter Coordinator position is responsible for managing the facility (in the time they are covering).
What You Will Do
Supports and coordinates with other staff in the delivery of appropriate housing stability and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Ensures participants' needs are met, maintains the safety and wellbeing of program participants, and maintains the cleanliness of the facility.

Requirements
- Associates degree in a related area or the equivalent experience in human services
- One-year direct human service experience (on top of degree or human services experience equivalency)
- Good organizational and planning skills; works well as part of a team and independently
- Complete program credentialing process, to include criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire and fingerprinting
- Willing to obtain first aid, automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications and Narcan utilization training
- Must possess a Colorado driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance
- Must possess a personal vehicle that may be used for work-related travel (reimbursement for mileage is available)
