Part Time Software Platform Engineer Co-Op

This is a part-time, remote role targeting senior or postgraduate students with an expected graduation date of December 2027. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

What You Will Do

Co-ops will participate in monthly engagement seminars, complete Raytheon required training, participate in security clearance activities, and meet with a mentor. This part-time position requires co-ops to spend 2-4 hours per month in support of these activities.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Upon graduation and clearance approval, co-ops will transition to a full-time, onsite position in Aurora CO to support the design, development, and maintenance of systems in support of our customers' missions.

Requirements

• Must be a Senior or Post-Graduate with graduation / completion of studies in December 2027 in Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major
• Must have a minimum of 90 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience in software development utilizing scripting languages such as: Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Shell
• Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
• Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Any knowledge/experience with Linux, Windows or related System Operating systems at the Command Line Interface is preferred
• Experience using development tools such as: Ansible, Chef, Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence or similar
• Experience with Network design and architecture schemes
• Experience with Cloud Technologies such as: AWS, Google, Gov
• DevSecOps Toolsets experience, either as user or implementor
• Software Development Lifecycle, including Agile philosophy
• Experience with Cyber security Concepts is a Plus
