Role OverviewThe Tutor is a part-time position responsible for providing high-quality academic tutoring, educational intervention, and homework support for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position focuses on accelerating student learning, strengthening foundational academic skills, and helping students meet or exceed grade-level expectations in reading, mathematics, writing, science, and other core academic subjects.
What You Will Do
Provide high-quality individual and small-group tutoring for students in grades K–8, deliver targeted instruction in reading, mathematics, language arts, science, and homework support, and assist students with homework completion, study habits, organization, and test preparation.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum of two years of experience tutoring or teaching elementary or middle school students
- Demonstrated knowledge of K–8 academic standards and instructional strategies
- Experience supporting students in reading and mathematics intervention
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Passion for helping students achieve academic success
- Ability to successfully pass criminal background, child abuse registry, and drug screening requirements
