Role Overview

Assist in daily operations of the Finishing Department, participating in training and embracing safety programs to aid in achieving a zero-accident rate. Monitor quality, production, and waste, adhering to customer specifications, and perform cleaning/sanitation responsibilities.

What You Will Do

Retrieve set up information, follow instructions, and safely assist with production machinery equipment monitoring. Complete necessary sheets for quality checks, participate in safety programs, and attend scheduled meetings.

Able to work all scheduled shifts and required overtime hours, with the opportunity to train new employees. High school diploma or GED required, with previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
