Role OverviewWe seek a Part-time Weekend Nurse Liaison to join our expanding weekend nurse team, providing information about hospice services to patients, families, and hospital-based staff, conducting clinical assessments, and coordinating hospital discharge plans.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will provide patient assessments and evaluations, work collaboratively with hospital staff, Good Shepherd colleagues, patients, and their families, and maintain professional relationships within hospitals.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in community health, oncology, hospice, or palliative care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff and patients.
Requirements
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of MA as a Registered Nurse
- At least two years experience preferred in community health, oncology, hospice, or palliative care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff, Good Shepherd colleagues, patients, and their families
- Highly skilled at providing patient assessments and evaluations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Competency with accepted standards of hospice nursing practice
