Job Description
We are seeking an Automotive Parts Manager to oversee the parts department and employees, responsible for returning a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Experience with CDK or Reynolds is a plus, and previous Automotive Parts Management experience is required.

Requirements

  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts and the do-it-yourself public
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover
  • Monitor and adjust Days' Supply for critical and fast-moving parts' categories and numbers
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Maintain Inventory Aging guidelines
  • Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing
  • Manage the parts inventory and track expenses
  • Work with the service manager and shop foreman to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
