Role Overview

The patient access representative registers, schedules, and performs related processing duties for all patients being served by respective clinic. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, keyboarding, and computer skills, and previous experience in scheduling. The representative works in a team environment, recognizes the importance of accountability, and strives to exceed patient expectations.

What You Will Do

The patient access representative will answer phone calls, take messages, and document information into the EMR system. They will greet patients warmly, verify patient information, and check patients in and out of the EMR system. The representative will also collect co-pays, post to accounts, and give receipts. They will schedule return appointments, testing, and referrals, and complete medical records requests.
