Patient Access Scheduler

Baptist Health is looking for a Patient Access Scheduler to join our team in Louisville, KY. Patient Access Schedulers are responsible for scheduling patients for diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered by referring physicians. This person will be the first point of contact with patients or physician offices, and must ensure their needs are met.

What You Will Do

Handle a large volume of incoming calls or faxes and schedule with multiple procedures within multiple departments. Inform patients and/or physician staff of proper preparation and instructions for tests ordered, and identify any precerts/authorizations/referrals needed. Perform pre-registration, creation of payment estimates, insurance verification and benefit evaluation prior to appointment. Retain orders for all scheduled appointments prior to service.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
