Job Description
The Patient Access Services Emergency Department (ED) Registration Associate is responsible for ensuring all patients are registered in accordance to departmental policy and procedure.

Requirements

  • Supports registration functions and general office duties
  • Conducts patient interviews and gathers demographic details
  • Reviews and evaluates patient registrations for accuracy
  • Collects co-payment, deductible, and co-insurance amounts
  • Develops and maintains positive customer service
  • Maintains current knowledge base regarding insurance information and managed care guidelines
