Role OverviewThe Patient Access Specialist is responsible for registering patients into the health information system by interviewing patients to gather and process complete demographic, insurance and other visit related information. This position plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health’s mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence.
What You Will Do
Captures and enters accurate patient demographic and financial information via direct patient contact or via telephone. Ensures all appropriate documentation is complete and included on the patient record in accordance with Federal and State regulatory guidelines and DNV requirements.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year previous experience in patient/customer-facing role
- Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
