Role OverviewThe Patient Account Representative I - Corporate will work on patient accounts as defined by the department's policies and procedures. The role involves reviewing patient accounts, checking status with insurance companies, and determining what is needed for finalization. The representative will assist the supervisor in recognizing and identifying issues related to working accounts and will demonstrate knowledge of State and Federal regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and other Third Party Payer requirements.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Patient Account Representative I - Corporate include performing specific functions relating to the collection of patient accounts, communicating effectively with patients/public, co-workers, physicians, facilities, agencies, and other facility personnel, and consulting and working collaboratively with supervisors, co-workers, department manager, and other facility personnel.
