Patient Account Representative

The Patient Account Representative will perform various duties including scheduling, documentation, coding, charge entry, and answering phone. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and physician practice management applications. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience in the medical field with E&M coding preferred.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Patient Account Representative include scheduling, documentation, coding, charge entry, and answering phone. The role also involves filing, medical records, daily batches, denials, account analysis, and performing other duties as required or assigned.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience in the medical field with E&M coding preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and physician practice management applications is also required. The role requires speed and accuracy in typing, good math skills, excellent oral and written communications, and the ability to deal with medical center staff and public.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Business training, computer training, CPT/ICD training and medical terminology preferred
• One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in the medical field with E&M coding preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and physician practice management applications
