Role OverviewThe Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities under nursing or medical supervision.
What You Will Do
Perform duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant degree or West Virginia C.N.A. license or PCT Certification
- CPR within 90 days of employment
- Glucoscan within 90 days of employment
- 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam
