Job Description
Patient Care Assistant will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care. They will be responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ability to independently initiate appropriate tasks within the scope of practice of the position
  • Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
