Role OverviewAssists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
What You Will Do
Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame. Completes all documentation in the medical record as required. Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses. Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
Requirements
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required
- Nursing student who has completed her/his fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component
- Bi-lingual skills preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
