Role OverviewThe Patient Care Assistant will work in the Cardiovascular ICU at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, assisting registered nurses with patient care and performing tasks to assist with ADL's and specified technical tasks. The role requires hands-on care, assistance with ADL's, and technical tasks for a group of patients under the supervision of the Team Leader.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the Patient Care Assistant include taking and recording patient vital signs, assisting with patient care, ambulating patients, and providing nutritional needs. The role also involves maintaining a safe environment, reporting equipment issues, and providing general care such as positioning and lifting patients.
