Role OverviewThe Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This role is part of the Inpatient Acute Rehab department at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. The schedule is days, 7:00am-7:30pm, with rotating weekends.

Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Illinois-approved certification, and possess knowledge of Medical Terminology. Previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Illinois-approved certification
- Current Phlebotomy certification
- Current EKG certification
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office
