Role OverviewThe Patient Care Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for patients, responsible for answering inbound calls, managing messages, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, collecting and applying payments, and supporting program coordination. This role is ideal for an organized, service-oriented professional who enjoys creating a positive patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing mental health practice.
What You Will Do
Answer telephones and emails promptly and in a polite and professional manner, document concise, thorough, and accurate information in the EMR, schedule appointments for existing and new patients, and secure medication prior authorizations from insurance companies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism, understand when to escalate calls to clinicians/Office Manager/Director, and match new patients with appropriate clinician and initiate the new consultation process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or hospitality experience preferred
- Proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SalesForce and other web-based platforms
