Role Overview

The Patient Care Nurse Assistant will perform patient care activities and provide clerical support as delegated by the RN. The role involves performing duties such as ADLs, vital signs, I & O, 12-lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene, and venipuncture. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting chart audits, assisting with patient data collection and reporting, and maintaining the patient record.

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Nurse Assistant will perform basic patient care tasks as delegated by the RN and assist in the implementation of the established plan of care. The candidate will also be responsible for providing a safe environment in patient rooms and on the unit, facilitating stocking and ordering of supplies, and assisting with unit communication.

Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED
  • Prior clinical and/or administrative assistant experience
  • Basic patient care skills
  • Effective communication with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds
