Job Description
Renders direct and indirect patient care under direction of appropriate licensed personnel. Provides personal self care and activity programs. Maintains patient records and performs routine care tasks such as oral suctioning, wound care, and specimen collections.

Requirements

  • Obtains, documents, and maintains appropriate data and records so that patient care is provided in a safe manner according to regulations.
  • Coordinates activities as part of the treatment process to provide for efficient care of the patient.
  • Observes assigned patients on an on-going basis, providing a safe environment and conducting rounds as required.
  • Assists with the appropriate admission, discharge, and/or throughput procedures.
  • Responsible for insuring unit has appropriate inventory levels of supplies and that equipment is functioning and properly maintained.
