Role OverviewThe Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a member of the patient care services team at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, providing technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role is vital for ensuring patients receive compassionate care and a positive experience during their healthcare journey.
What You Will Do
Perform a variety of basic patient care activities such as feeding, bathing, toileting, and other personal hygiene regimes. Assist nursing personnel in responding to emergency patient situations, report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse, and perform general clerical duties including answering telephones and call lights.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from a school of practical nursing OR completion of one of the following: a Certified PCA/PCT Program, a Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent training, a Medical Assistant Program, an EMT program, or a phlebotomy training program
- Six (6) months direct patient care experience (preferred)
