Job Description
Patient Care Technician (PCA) responsible for providing care to adult trauma surgical unit patients, including assisting with daily activities, monitoring patients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

  • Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or attainment at the completion of the IU Health PCA education program
  • Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served
  • Knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities
  • Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain concentration and manage a high workload in a fast-paced environment
