Job Description
Patient Care Technician (PCT) responsible for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Comprehensive on-the-job training provided. No dialysis experience required.

Requirements

  • Assist in providing patient specific detailed education regarding disease process/access
  • Perform vascular access cannulation and administer heparin as delegated
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy
  • Document all treatment data in a timely and accurate manner
