Role Overview

The Patient Care Technician at Northwestern Medicine's Delnor Medical Surgical Unit performs basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN. This full-time, in-person role involves three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

What You Will Do

Perform basic nursing care activities such as monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating. Report abnormal findings to nursing staff and assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
