Job Description
The Patient Care Technician provides patient care and support services, including performing a rapid appraisal of patient stability, transporting patients, assisting with physical exams and procedures, and documenting care. They also perform other duties as assigned to support the effectiveness of the department and organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage technical business equipment
  • Ability to assist with the movement of an adult patient weighing up to 300 lbs
  • Ability to care for patients with infectious diseases
  • Ability to sit for 3-5 hours per day, stand for 3-5 hours per day, and walk for 3-5 hours per day
  • Ability to distinguish appropriate colors
  • Ability to consistently reach and/or work above and below shoulder level
