Role OverviewNorthwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Psychiatric unit on a casual night shift. This role is integral to the healthcare team, focusing on patient-first care in a hospital setting. The position requires solid CNA experience and experience with behavioral health patients.
What You Will Do
Under RN supervision, perform basic nursing care activities including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and eating. Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff and assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Good solid CNA experience foundation no less than 6 months
- Some experience taking care of behavioral health patients
