Role OverviewThe Patient Care Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, a leader in the healthcare industry. Under the supervision of an RN, this role performs basic patient care activities on the Telemetry unit. This position is full-time, day shift (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with alternating weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do
Perform basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and eating. Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Manage unit workflow, answer phones and call lights, and serve as a liaison between patient care units and other departments.

Requirements
