Role OverviewNorthwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Telemetry Unit. This full-time, night-shift role is based in DeKalb, IL, and involves performing basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN. What You Will Do
Perform basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and eating. Report abnormal findings to nursing staff, assist with keeping patient rooms clean, and manage unit workflow in concert with the charge RN.
