Job Description
The Patient Departure Lounge Associate plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, safe, and positive discharge experience for patients and their families, providing world-class service and assistance during one of the most important transitions in the patient journey.

Requirements

  • Greet patients and their families upon arrival to the departure lounge and clearly explain the discharge process.
  • Confirm transportation arrangements and assist patients in preparing for departure, ensuring all belongings and paperwork are complete.
  • Monitor the lounge for cleanliness, safety, and comfort, addressing any immediate needs such as seating or mobility assistance.
  • Liaise with nursing and other hospital staff to verify discharge readiness and resolve any last-minute issues.
  • Offer reassurance and assistance to patients and families, responding promptly to questions or concerns.
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and privacy protocols while supporting patients during the discharge process.
