Role OverviewThe Patient Financial Coordinator acts as a crucial member of the patient care team to coordinate the financial aspects of patient care, working together with other team members to create a positive and memorable patient experience.
What You Will Do
Respond to patient inquiries, review and perform insurance verification, address discrepancies, identify required authorizations, determine patient responsibility amounts, collect payment, and provide financial consultation.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and experience with insurance verification and direct patient contact/coordination/scheduling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
- Two years related experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CDT and ICD-10 codes)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
- Experience with insurance verification and/or insurance authorizations
- Previous experience with direct patient contact/coordination/scheduling
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Dental office preferred
- Knowledge of EPIC and other electronic medical records preferred
