Role OverviewWe are searching for a Patient Sitter Texas Children's Float Pool to ensure the safety of patients at risk of harm to self or others, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
What You Will Do
Sitters are responsible for remaining with the assigned patient at all times during their assigned shift, assists the R.N. to provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees, and reports patient condition to the RN to assure achievement of desired outcomes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1 yr. experience in a psychiatric inpatient or outpatient program, Psychiatric Residential placement programs, inpatient hospital experience or enrolled in an accredited Nursing education program, and BLS – Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic nursing care
- Ability to respond quickly to requests and interact with people at all levels
