Role OverviewThe Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Lead Benefits Coordinator to provide leadership and operational support to the Benefit Coordination team. This role plays an important part in coordinating third-party resources, assisting patients with benefit enrollment, supporting daily team operations, and maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do
Provides leadership, guidance, conflict resolution, and operational support to Benefit Coordinators and serves as a liaison between staff, patients, and the Director of Patient Resource Services. Conducts comprehensive patient interviews, educates patients regarding healthcare coverage options, and assists patients with applications and renewals.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Information Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare experience in patient access, insurance verification, benefits coordination, eligibility, patient advocacy, or related healthcare services required.
- Microsoft Office and general computer skills required.
- Experience with EHR, RPMS, eligibility verification systems, insurance enrollment platforms, or similar healthcare systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Health Insurance Marketplace, insurance verification, third-party payer requirements, and healthcare registration preferred.
