Job Description
Supports nursing staff by providing direct observation of patients on a continuous basis, monitoring safety and responding to inquires and patient behavior cues.

Requirements

  • Effectively monitor the assigned patient and environment for safety.
  • Respond to inquires of staff and requests of patient.
  • Identify circumstances requiring direct report to nursing staff.
  • Monitor the environment for safety and remove hazardous items.
  • Ambulate and assist patients in and out of bed/chair.
  • Set up food tray for self-feeding patients.
  • Document observations on shift and per protocol.
