Role Overview

The Patient Safety Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, a healthcare leader. This role is based at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL, and is a part-time position working 40 hours every two weeks, with shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

What You Will Do

Remains at the bedside of assigned patients at all times to provide continuous safety observation, offers calming and reorienting conversation for agitated or confused patients, identifies and removes hazards, and assists with activities of daily living as delegated by the supervising RN. Also remotely monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring, providing verbal redirection and summoning staff when necessary.
