Job Description
As a Patient Service Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Eye Clinic, you will provide exceptional service to patients before, during, and post-appointment with minimal guidance. You will facilitate efficient workflow, support the appropriate use of technology, and engage in effective communication with patients and outside facilities.

Requirements

  • Proficiently perform all Associate Patient Service Specialist job responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments and procedures through clinical communication, work queues, and patient portal messages
  • Manage registration and patient work queues
  • Coordinate with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure all pre-appointment orders and consults have been received and ready to view prior to patient visit
  • Communicate with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making to route appropriately as applicable
